CONCEALED FIRE SPRINKLERS

Concealed fire sprinklers have widely replaced the more traditional pendant fire sprinklers many of us are used to picturing. There are many benefits to this new style of sprinkler system and they are now the most widely fitted system by London Fire Sprinklers.

HOW THEY WORK:

Favoured by designers and architects and sometimes refered to as ‘fast response’ fire sprinklers, the concealed fire sprinkler heads are most commonly fitted in residential properties.
They’re activated when the temperature of the ceiling reaches 74 degrees celsius, during the outbreak of a fire. This then triggers the deflector plate to fall down from the ceiling and activate the water flow, which is then aimed directly towards the flames.

For this reason, concealed fire sprinkler heads are widely considered the favourable of the two types of fire sprinkler systems we install, for the main reason that they drastically minimise any water damage to areas that it perhaps isn’t needed.

Each sprinkler head works independently, so in the event of a fire, only the heads that are needed are then activated.

WHAT THEY LOOK LIKE:

The concealed heads that we install are white in colour, resembling that of a down-light.

WHERE THEY’RE FITTED:

They sit flush against the ceiling and blend in well with the surroundings, going unnoticed, until you most urgently need them.
